Calliope Figure 8 2018 is a beautifully structured red from British Columbia, composed of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc. Aromas of ripe cherry, blackberry, and subtle cedar lift from the glass. On the palate, dark fruit depth meets firm, powdery tannins, accented by notes of tobacco leaf and forest floor. The finish is long and warming, with a touch of cocoa and enough backbone to reward a few more years of cellaring.
