''Born, raised and trained as a Chef in British Columbia, Canada, I moved to the UK in 1996 and began working in the kitchens of The Dorchester Hotel in London.

After several years working in some of London’s best kitchens, I joined The Savoy Hotel as a Management Trainee.  Part of my three years training was spent in their formidable Wine Cellar.  It was there that I fell in love, not just with the wine itself but also with the histories, legends, passions and cultures of the wine producers.

After leaving The Savoy, I worked for major hotel groups in several countries and because of my background in wine, I helped develop wine lists across the world, ranging from North America to New Zealand.

My love of, and interest in, wine finally won out over hotel management, and I decided to dedicate my energies and enthusiasm to working full time in the wine industry.''

In August 2015 Fairview Wines was launched, with the initial objective of bringing small family owned vineyards to the UK. 

This has remained one of the primary objectives of the company, though the company has also diversified into a range of vineyards across the globe, which include wines from Canada, Portugal, Italy and France.

In 2022 Fairview opened it’s first wine shop in Midhurst, West Sussex.

The shop allows us to focus our efforts in helping those find the perfect sip within our local community, acting as a base for our customers, and storage to expand our operation and offer tastings.

The opening of the wine shop signifies our commitment to personalised customer service and creating a welcoming environment for wine enthusiasts.

Working in the wine industry, our aim remains focussed on representing family run vineyards, wherever they live and work in our world.  We and they are a family.

I look for the best examples of wines that I know will offer the greatest interest and value to my customers.  In order to broaden this aim, a further passion of ours is to find wines from emerging wine regions, and styles not commonly found in the UK.
