Bodega Palacio Cosme Palacio Rioja Crianza 2019 - Spain

Deep red with purple highlights. The style of Cosme is clearly evident, with a very intense nose of ripe red fruit, liquorice and aniseed. Ageing in new French oak brings touches of spices such as pepper, cinnamon and menthol, making a complex and elegant whole. Ever faithful to its style, it is a powerful, muscular wine, with fine, ripe tannins, sweet flavours on the finish and balanced acidity bringing freshness. The finish is very long, ending on flavours of candied fruit and roasted coffee beans.
