Julien & Remi Clément Fleurie 2023 - Burgundy, France

This elegant red wine comes from Fleurie, one of the ten cru villages of Beaujolais, which is the southernmost region of Burgundy. Fleurie is celebrated for producing the most delicate, floral, and 'feminine' style of Gamay. The granite-based soils of the area lend a soft, fragrant complexity to the wine. Julien & Remi Clément are focused on expressive winemaking, letting the grape's bright, primary fruit character shine through while keeping tannins light. This 2023 vintage is light, juicy, and beautifully fragrant, perfect for drinking slightly chilled.

Tasting Notes: Bright, transparent ruby red. Intense aromas of fresh violets, crushed raspberries, and red cherry. Light-bodied, very smooth, and immediately accessible, with soft tannins and vibrant, lifted acidity. Highly drinkable, fresh finish.

Food Pairing: Serve slightly chilled. Excellent with charcuterie, chicken liver pâté, grilled salmon, duck spring rolls, or mushroom risotto.
