EVERY DETAIL COUNTS

The winemaking process is governed by precise rules which must be followed every step of the way. The vines are tended – pruned and thinned – and only the choicest grapes are utilized to be cru. Extreme care is taken with fermentation and aging. Large barrels are preferred to barrique to produce the traditional wines of the Langhe.

After initial production of Barbaresco, followed the Nebbiolo of the Langhe and then Barolo. Though originating from the same varietal, the terroir and different techniques make for unique and extraordinary wines.

The Vineyard
Is twenty-five years old and it is located in the prestigious Barbaresco territory, at 240 metres above sea level

Vinification
In stainless steel vats with the submerged cap method and maceration on the skins for about thirteen days. the fermentation temperature is kept at around 28 °C. The malolactic fermentation occurs at the end of alcoholic fermentation and after the drawing off

Ageing
For two years in 20-hectolitre oak barrels followed by six months in the bottle

Organoleptic Characteristics
It is a complex, dry and ethereal wine with an intense garnet colour. The nose has fragrant notes of roses and violets together with sweet spices and a touch of cocoa. In the mouth, it is harmonious and soft yet gifted with firm and noble tannins and a good long finish

The Wine
Made from a careful selection of the best nebbiolo grape bunches riped in our own vineyards in Bric Bergera in Novello, well known as one of the most prestigious cru of the territory. The production results from a scrupulous separate vinification and “traditional” aging for at least three years in medium-large Slavonian oak barrels

Colour
Garnet-red with crimson highlights

Perfume
Alcoholic, in addition to (as well as) calissaja chincona, a miscellany of officinal herbs stands out, and gentian root, rhubarb and cardamom form a ring round bergamot and Chinese pepper

Taste
Velvety, very soft and full-bodied. Hints of bitter almond and fresh marzipan blend well

GAVI DOCG TRES 

The Wine
This Gavi comes from the region of Rovereto at an altitude of 230 meters above sea level. 100% cortese on a sandy surface with crumbled marls and sticks of 10 years old.

Perfume
In the nose flowers, lime, lily-of-the-valley and green apple. Beautiful dry, elegant and harmonious and mineral.

The WIne
The name comes from the word "barvba" (beard in italian), used to describe its complex system of roots, and the term "albera", which indicates the wooded sites where the vines were planted to replace the trees.
